I am no stranger to long term degenerative disease. Bernie Siegel, M.D. joins Deborah Beauvais on the Love

Dr. Siegel, who prefers to be called Bernie, not Dr. Siegel, was born in Brooklyn, NY. He attended Colgate University and Cornell University Medical College. He holds membership in two scholastic honor societies, Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Omega Alpha and graduated with honors. His surgical training took place at Yale New Haven Hospital, West Haven Veteran’s Hospital and the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. He retired from practice as an assistant clinical professor of surgery at Yale of general and pediatric surgery in 1989 to speak to patients and their caregivers.
In 1978 he originated Exceptional Cancer Patients, a specific form of individual and group therapy utilizing patients’ drawings, dreams, images and feelings. ECaP is based on “carefrontation,” a safe, loving therapeutic confrontation, which facilitates personal lifestyle changes, personal empowerment and healing of the individual’s life. The physical, spiritual and psychological benefits which followed led to his desire to make everyone aware of his or her healing potential. He realized exceptional behavior is what we are all capable of.
Bernie, and his wife and coworker Bobbie, live in a suburb of New Haven, Connecticut. They have five children and eight grandchildren. Bernie and Bobbie have co-authored their children, books and articles. Their home with its many children, pets and interests resembled a cross between a family art gallery, museum, zoo and automobile repair shop. It still resembles these things, although the children are trying to improve its appearance in order to avoid embarrassment.

Andrew Harvey was born in south India in 1952 where he lived until he was nine years old. It is this early period that he credits with shaping his sense of the inner unity of all religions and providing him with a permanent and inspiring vision of a world infused with the sacred. He left India to attend private school in England and entered Oxford University in 1970 with a scholarship to study history. At the age of 21, he became the youngest person ever to be awarded a fellowship to All Soul’s College, England’s highest academic honor. By 1977 Andrew Harvey had become disillusioned with life at Oxford and returned to his native India, where a series of mystical experiences initiated his spiritual journey. Over the next thirty years he plunged into different mystical traditions to learn their secrets and practices. In 1978 he met a succession of Indian saints and sages and began his long study and practice of Hinduism. In 1983, in Ladakh, he met the great Tibetan adept, Thuksey Rinpoche, and undertook with him the Mahayana Buddhist Bodhisattva vows; later, in 1990, he would collaborate with Sogyal Rinpoche and Patrick Gaffney in the writing of The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying. In 1984, Andrew Harvey began a ten-year-long exploration and explication of Rumi and Sufi mysticism in Paris with a group of French Sufis and under the guidance of Eva De Vitray-Meyerovitch, the magnificent translator of Rumi into French. In 1992, he met Father Bede Griffiths in his ashram in south India near where Andrew Harvey had been born. Dr. Pearl has only graduated two other Instructors to this level from the Associate Instructor program. He has assisted and taught seminars throughout the US, Canada and Europe and is proud to be on the vanguard of a new paradigm, expanding the teaching model so that this important mission can reach more people around the world. He has had the opportunity to expand his consciousness and credits Reconnective Healing and The Reconnection with a great personal shift, allowing him to enjoy this time in life as a period of great insight and experience.
Kelly was born in Tennessee and raised in central Florida. He studied at Florida State University in the Schools of Theatre and Fine Arts. His studies and talents moved him to Las Vegas where he performed as well as designed costumes. After moving to New York City, he appeared on Broadway and in National and International Tours as an actor, singer and dancer. His artistic interests eventually led him to a career in interior design and he is currently partner in the architectural and interior design firm of Bohn Associates of New York and Miami, where he directs the design department. He has also recently launched a custom furniture line, Design for Designers (www.designfordesigners.com).
While finding his way through a period of great loss, Kelly met a Reconnective Healing Practitioner in 2003 and was intrigued by this amazing work. He attended the level l/ll/lll Seminars and was captivated by the work’s utter simplicity. It seemed to come naturally to him and he found within himself, a deepening desire to help others to discover and understand the work. “It was if I had known the lines and points all along,” says Kelly, “as if I were downloading them from somewhere else.”
Kelly has an active yoga practice and is one of the key developers of a new program called Reconnective Yoga. This class teaches yoga teachers and practitioners alike to integrate the Reconnective Healing Frequencies into their yoga practice and classes allowing for an expanded experience on the mat.
Kelly has been fortunate to attend teachings by Lee Carol, John Demartini and Drs. J.J. Hurtak, William Tiller and Gary Schwartz. He credits his friend and teacher Lori Wilson with helping him to expand his gifts and looks forward to sharing this amazing gift of healing and expansion with everyone on the planet. In addition to teaching, Kelly offers sessions of The Reconnection, Reconnective Healing and Practitioner Mentoring.
