Raised in Needham, MA, Richard M. Wainwright was an avid sportsman at Needham High. After graduation, and a post-grad year, he spent two years at Drew University followed by a stint in the U.S. Army where he was stationed in Italy. While in the service, Richard spent his free time working with priests and orphans at St. Dominico, which proved to a life-changing experience. Afterwards, Richard returned home to finish college at Boston University earning national honors and his B.A. A year later, he married D'Ann O'Brien. Over the next 18 years, his career was largely spent in field of education. He served as a teacher, coach, administrator in public and private schools, and most notably as headmaster of Charles River Academy, a school that he founded for young people challenged with academic problems. Richard grew up with an epileptic brother, Bob - who lived a difficult but courageous life - and died of a seizure at the age of 37. Richard's life's experiences greatly influenced his career choices as well as themes in his writings.
While an educator, Richard pursued other career interests. He invented and patented a bathtub safety device for children, Safety Bear, which is still available in stores and catalogs today. He has also traveled extensively in Central and South America, establishing business relations with various artisans, importing gifts for a store he opened on Cape Cod. During his many trips to South America, he learned to speak fluent Spanish and grew close to many of the artisans' families. He and his wife, D'Ann, had eight Ecuadorian godchildren, five of whom came to the U.S. to continue their education. In 1981, Richard published his first book, A TINY MIRACLE. In total, Richard has written and published eleven books; ten for children, and one for adults. All have received national literary awards. Each book is unique and shares a common thread - all of his work focuses on family values and compassion as a way to cope with and overcome a variety of life's challenges. The broad appeal of his topics has translated into sales of more than 400,000 books, a noteworthy achievement for a self-published author.
Sadly, in 1995, after 33 years of marriage, his beloved D'Ann lost her battle to cancer. Richard felt D'Ann was the source of his inspiration and a personification of a loving soul. He characterizes her as "the wind beneath his wings". Four years later, Richard was fortunate to find love again. He married Judy Gale Smith and her wonderful family.Today, Judy and Richard continue to stay close to Richard's Ecuadorian godchildren. The couple enjoys a number of activities together, including travel, boating, fishing, golf, and spending time with loved ones. They divide their year between Massachusetts and Florida.

When she was 8 years old, Lois Berman says, she was playing in the front yard of the Brockton triple-decker she shared with her parents and grandparents. She turned to her grandfather and said, “The man across the street died.’’ An hour later, she says, the old man did indeed die. He’d been ill, but young Lois didn’t even know him.
“My grandfather was so upset with what I told him that I didn’t tell people things from then on,’’ says Berman, 68. “I thought people would get mad or think I was weird.’’
Berman, a psychic who hosts a television and a radio show in Brockton, started in cable TV years ago when the medium — pardon the pun — was young, and has built a following.
Her current TV show is “The Psychic Mind With Lois,’’ and her radio show is “Lois on the Line.’’ The main theme for both is making life changes, and she interviews authors and others on the topic, adding her own “intuition,’’ as she calls her psychic side. “I do not make any decisions that are life-important in my head, but through my gut,’’ says Berman, A former nurse, Berman is a fervent believer in past lives. She has taken several workshops and retreats on the subject. She, for example, was a male doctor who made house calls at the turn of the last century: “My name was Brown and I died of a heart attack,’’ Berman says, as matter-of-factly as if she were discussing the weather.
After surgery from a serious accident, she had an epiphany: Everyone has a spiritual bus driver. Hers was named Harry, and he was keeping an eye on her.
“When you come into this lifetime, you make a contract with God,’’ says Berman, a divorced grandmother. “There are certain things you’ll learn, certain things you’ll have to redo, and certain things you’ll throw out. My bus driver makes sure I’m on the corner of Fifth Avenue and Broadway so that I will be either the teacher or the student.’’
God, she says, chooses bus drivers “because he can’t do everything all the time. . . The bus driver makes sure you’re on time for the connection to the next event, or the next teacher-student moment.’’

Dr. Joel D. Wallach is a veterinarian, naturopathic physician, author and lecturer who played a major role in the development of the market of liquid vitamin - mineral supplements. In his early years as a child, Paul Vens discovered the magic of nature and started looking for ways to express these experiences. When he was ten years old, he played his first chords on a self-made wooden guitar. Later painting and writing also became ways of expressing his experiences. Between 1990/2000 he made three albums: “Promise”, “Aquarius” and “Son to the Father”. These albums have mainly very open, clear, instrumental work. Very special is the way he creates silence between the notes. The longing for pure freedom of creativity finally pushed him in the direction of his own independent music label. Now, already seven albums have been released through this label, as well as a couple of booklets and prints of his paintings. You could characterize Paul’s music as fine, light and peaceful. Love for life, for natures are important ingredients of his songs.
At the end of the last century Paul discovers the Tibetan Singing Bowls through a friendship with an old priest. The Tibetan Singing Bowls have thereafter played an important role in his musical journey; they have become part of his music and concerts. The Singing Bowls are known to be able to shift one’s presence from thinking to feeling and Paul has had special experiences in using these bowls in ‘experiencing sound’ workshops with the mentally handicapped. In Holland and Belgium Paul writes articles for New Age Magazines about the Tibetian Singing Bowls, Music and Nature.

Who is Patricia Cleveland?
I’m not the famous rider on the winning horse. I am the person who understands how to make a winning horse work better and how to improve horses that will not or cannot work. I like a challenge. Reading, researching and assimilating information developed educational encounters with innovators working in human science, veterinary science, electrical engineering, structural development, and people known as healers. My experience took me to the wilds of Australia were I learned to trust me inner self and become aware of the body’s response to various energy fields.
In 1972, I noticed a systematic weakness in equestrian studies relating to Structural imbalances in both horse and the rider. Veterinarians and blacksmiths did not resolve the difficulties I encountered. For the rest of my horse career, I searched for answers that eventually removed me from mainstream thinking while producing successful horse rider partnerships.
I was first exposed to Equine Massage by Equine Massage Therapist, JP Hourfdebraigt, from 1995 to 1997, while he introduced Equine Awareness Massage in Canada. The quest continued for new tools and knowledge, leading me to new skill sets to include; coaching psychology, animal chiropractic certification, advanced certification in Red Light Therapy for both horses and humans.
Moving to United States 1997 introduced me to great opportunities of working with alternative therapists and veterinarians. I began a working relationship Dr. Gerald Wessner of the Holistic Vet Mary Clinic, Summerfield Florida. I expanded and explained many of the observations applications and modalities that were entering into the field of equine care. Andrew Harvey, author of The Hope, Founder of Institute for Sacred ActivismTM SM was born in south India in 1952 where he lived until he was nine years old. It is this early period that he credits with shaping his sense of the inner unity of all religions and providing him with a permanent and inspiring vision of a world infused with the sacred. He left India to attend private school in England and entered Oxford University in 1970 with a scholarship to study history. At the age of 21, he became the youngest person ever to be awarded a fellowship to All Soul’s College, England’s highest academic honor. By 1977 Andrew Harvey had become disillusioned with life at Oxford and returned to his native India, where a series of mystical experiences initiated his spiritual journey. Over the next thirty years he plunged into different mystical traditions to learn their secrets and practices. In 1978 he met a succession of Indian saints and sages and began his long study and practice of Hinduism. In 1983, in Ladakh, he met the great Tibetan adept, Thuksey Rinpoche, and undertook with him the Mahayana Buddhist Bodhisattva vows; later, in 1990, he would collaborate with Sogyal Rinpoche and Patrick Gaffney in the writing of The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying. In 1984, Andrew Harvey began a ten-year-long exploration and explication of Rumi and Sufi mysticism in Paris with a group of French Sufis and under the guidance of Eva De Vitray-Meyerovitch, the magnificent translator of Rumi into French. In 1992, he met Father Bede Griffiths in his ashram in south India near where Andrew Harvey had been born.
